"Fall is in my backyard. Fall is in my front yard."

On Friday (the first day of Fall), a little boy in my preschool class said that quote to me.
"Fall is in my backyard. Fall is in my front yard."
Just brilliant, my friend. I like the way you think. And he is quite right. Fall is here!

Here is a picture of fall in my backyard...

Here is a picture of fall in my front yard!

Moving on from fall related pictures... These are some pictures of our adventures to the coast this weekend. We loved exploring the coast!

Here is a picture of me pretending that my hair isn't going crazy.
Adam and I by the water.

This is a super cute house that I want to live in that is about two minutes away from the waterfront. Adorable.

Stay tuned for a super important discovery that I made yesterday. I am just getting all of my data in order to post for you all to enjoy. It'll be great.
Love you!
Happy fall, happy Monday!

new cousin, abby

This is my new baby dog cousin, Abby. Isn't she just so cute? Look at her little wrinkles!
I can't wait to meet her at Thanksgiving!
Have a happy week, everyone!

river cruiser

Well hello again! Just thought I should drop in with a few quick pictures of our Labor Day adventures.
We went on a bike ride with the ward this morning. It ended up being close to ten miles, which was most excellent. We had some great views of Portland... Enjoy!

(PS. To all of the people who say that having a beach cruiser in hill-covered Portland is impractical... well, you are only half way right. A beach/river cruiser is most excellent around the river. Plus, going up a hill with out extra gears to help you out makes you feel pretty darn savage.)

Lovely place, isn't it?

p is for perfect

Just FYI, today was the most awesome, spontaneous day of all time.
Gotta love me some spontaneity.

First off, I have developed a growing hatred towards my hair, so I chopped it.
That was pretty fun. I was slightly nervous about the whole experience...
a) she wasn't sure how to spell Jessica. Not even a first letter. Even my preschoolers can tell you, "J is for Jessica." obvi.
b) my bangs looked something like stairs (fixed!)
c) she choked me with the black cape thing. no good.
d) my hair was falling all over the place. it's hard to watch the last few years of hard work getting chopped off.

So yeah, got my hair did.
Then I went out and bought me a bike. A cruiser bike to be specific. (Well, I actually got 2 bikes... but that was because the second bike was more awesome than the first. Imma take back the first.)
The bike is mint green and brown. It has no gears, is completely impractical, and has white tires.
I also got it a wicker basket (mostly ideal for carrying around kittens, or my future puppy, Meeko).

Check it out!
My hair's all pushed back.
"Kady, will you please tell him his hair looks sexy pushed back?"
Happy three-day weekend!
